  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup dark cocoa powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter and press into a springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes and cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and cocoa powder. Mix in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  3. Pour filling over cooled crust and bake at 325°F (160°C) for 50-60 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly. Cool in the oven with the door ajar for an hour.
  4. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then mix in powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread half on the cheesecake.
  5. Use melted chocolate to create a spiderweb design on top with remaining whipped cream.
