Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped (about 8 medium strawberries)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Add melted butter, salt, and half of the flour; mix until combined. Gradually add remaining flour to form a sticky dough.
  2. 2. Knead the Dough: Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. 3. Make Filling: In a bowl, mix granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and chopped strawberries; set aside.
  4. 4. Roll Out Dough: Punch down risen dough gently and roll it out into a rectangle about half an inch thick on a floured surface.
  5. 5. Assemble Rolls: Spread softened butter over the rolled-out dough. Evenly sprinkle the strawberry-cinnamon mixture on top. Roll tightly from one long side to form a log and slice into individual rolls.
  6. 6. Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange sliced rolls on a greased baking dish or parchment-lined sheet. Let rise again for about 30 minutes before baking for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with glaze before serving.
