Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 6 whole black olives (for spiders)
  • 3 pimento-stuffed green olives (for spider bodies)

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs by covering them with cold water in a pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 12-14 minutes before transferring to an ice bath.
  2. Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a bowl; add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth.
  3. Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg whites, heaping slightly above the edges.
  4. For spiders, cut black olives in half for bodies and slice additional halves into strips for legs. Place one olive half on each filled egg half and arrange leg strips accordingly.
  5. Serve on a platter and enjoy!
