A luxurious, velvety seafood bisque blending sweet lump crab and snappy shrimp in a creamy, aromatic broth.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lump crab meat
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
  • 1 carrot, finely diced
  • 1 celery stalk, finely diced

Instructions

  1. Sauté carrots and celery in butter until soft.
  2. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Deglaze the pot with white wine and reduce by half.
  4. Add seafood stock and thyme; simmer gently.
  5. Fold in crab and shrimp; cook until shrimp are pink.
  6. Stir in heavy cream on low heat and serve.
