Fluffy yeast-risen rolls filled with a tart Granny Smith apple and rich caramel mixture, topped with a creamy glaze.

  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110F)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, finely diced
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk until foamy.
  2. Mix flour, butter, and yeast into a smooth dough; knead until elastic.
  3. Let dough rise in a warm area for 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Sauté diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon until syrupy.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle, spread caramel and apple mixture, then roll into a log.
  6. Slice into 12 rolls and bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Apply icing while rolls are slightly warm.
